Recognizing and Addressing Co-occurring Disorders from an Evidence-Based Lens

CABHC’s Fall Training, Recognizing and Addressing Co-occurring Disorders from an Evidence-Based Lens, will be presented by Dr. Kimberly Ernest, PhD, LPC, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of direct service experience in mental health, substance use, family systems work and trauma treatment. Training participants will be able to:

  • Define and recognize co-occurring disorders
  • Identify the relationship between social determinants of health and co-occurring disorders
  • Describe components of evidence-based practices most effective at addressing co-occurring disorders
  • Receive an introduction to Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)

  • Date: Wednesday, October 19, 2022
    Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm (registration 9:00 am – 10:00 am, program begins at 10:00 am)
    Location: Best Western Harrisburg

    The training is open to professionals in the field of mental health and substance use disorders located in Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon or Perry Counties. Lunch will be provided, and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be available only for licensed clinicians.
